BOOK XXI. The Juggler (Jackism, The Fairytale Religion)
[1] Once upon a time in a timeless state of mind, there was a Juggler juggling three pins – Blue, Yellow & Red.
Juggler: [2] Ah, look at me juggle. For without the power of prayer, I could not have attained such a phenomenal skill.
Blue Pin: [3] Prayer, you say?
Yellow Pin: [4] For what is this prayer thing that you speak on?
Red Pin: [5] Do tell us the secret.
Juggler: [6] For what is prayer, you ask? Why, it is the beauty of seeking and finding; asking and receiving; wondering and figuring out. It is a question directed towards God – just make sure that the question you ask is the right one.
Blue: [7] Thou who juggles me, my prayer did not work.
Juggler: [8] For what was thou prayer?
Blue: [9] I have prayed to not be a juggling pin.
Juggler: [10] That prayer is lazy, Blue Pin.
Yellow: [11] Well I have prayed too, and I have not received.
Juggler: [12] For what was thou prayer?
Yellow: [13] I have prayed not to be a slave.
Juggler: [14] That prayer is lazy, Yellow Pin.
Red: [15] Well I have prayed, and I have received.
Juggler: [16] For what was thou prayer?
Red: [17] I prayed for a good question to ask. But I have not quite captured the answer to the question I was given yet.
[18] At this slithery moment in time, a serpent slides near the Juggler.
Juggler: [19] (Jumps.) Oh my! I’m sorry, there is nothing that I do fear more than the snake.
[20] The Red Pin transforms into a snake and falls to the ground.
Juggler: [21] (Jumps.) Oh my!
Blue: [22] For what was thou prayer, Red?
Red: [23] Well, first I prayed for a good question.
Yellow: [24] And what was the question you were given?
Red: [25] The question was, “What is the Juggler afraid of mostly?”.
Blue: [26] And then what did you do?
Red: [27] And then I asked God for a sign.
Yellow: [28] And then what?
Red: [29] And then came a snake.
Blue: [30] And then you did what, Red?
Red: [31] And then I pulled the trigger.
Yellow: [32] Brilliant.
Blue: [33] Remarkable.
Juggler: [34] That is how you pray.
